Hacking warning from Amiens
Nottingham Panthers are travelling to France for their pre-season tournament in Amiens and there website is e-mailing ticket buyers for more money. Don't pay them the extra as it's a hack and a new e-mail account will work now. Ignore the hacks!

The Kings have been crowned, a review of a historic season...
Celebration time.. photo credit: @NHL on twitter |
Friday night, LA Kings completed the roller coaster that was winning the Stanley Cup announced on the blog earlier and pretty much every ice hockey site out there/ real life too!
Alec Martinez was the hero in this one scoring the biggest goal of his entire life. A successful regular season saw them as the 3rd seed of the Western Conference entering their hardest ever playoff run!
Round one explains that for you. After getting battered twice by San Jose Sharks, then again but a lot tighter, LA faced elimination but they stunned the sporting world winning four straight sending a warning to next victims Anaheim Ducks as a crazy series saw another game 7, smashing Ducks 6-2 after sealing the game early on with a convincing 5-0 lead!
Probably the most interesting series of the whole playoffs if you look at the pre-game aspects. Defending champions Chicago Blackhawks won game one, but an eventual game 7 was an overtime 5-4 win getting revenge for being eliminated in OT the year before as well!
To say the final was a five game series, it felt like seven as New York Rangers, who had also faced a tough run, managed to avoid the Stanley Cup being raised on their territory and a sweep. Game 5 though, Kings were unstoppable! Alec Martinez smashed it past a gutted Henrik Lundquivst to end the game! Highlights of the remarkable end here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lqj3Q1Ryhy0

Stanley cup champions 2014: Los Angeles Kings
Its over. A mind blowing finale to the 2013-14 season last night saw a double overtime victory for LA Kings for the second time in three years, and the second time in the teams history!
Kings scored first before Rangers got two straight to lead 2-1 at the end of the second! LA tied it in the third before a long intense overtime period before Alec Martinez won it and sent Los Angeles completely nuts!
We'll have more later. Photo credit to nhl.com Thank you for following the entire EIHL/NHL playoffs on this blog. We hope for improvement next season though on this blog. Congratulations to the Kings!

Stunning game from Quick results in one win until the cup, Wednesday to be HUGE
Meet Jonathan Quick. The unstoppable goalie in the NHL right now and as a result of this, tomorrow, the Los Angeles Kings might win the Stanley cup.
Kings goalie Quick stopped 35 shots pulling off some amazing saves along the way and good offense saw a 3-0 win for Kings in the first Stanley Cup final game in New York since 1994. Not a good way for Rangers to return to the big time, eh? The first goal for Kings came right at the first period buzzer the other two in the second period for a massive 3-0 series lead!
That means, tomorrow, this is it the whole 2014-15 season comes down to this. A win for Kings sees them as the 2014 Stanley cup champions which starts in New York tomorrow night at 1:00am. You do not want to miss this! As usual, NHL gamecenter to see the biggest one of the lot.

Kings comeback Rangers for game one win in Stanley Cup final! Game two is Saturday
Rangers scored two breakaway goals in the first period with one for Kings at break one. A tying goal for Kings would end up as the only in the second and last in regulation. Two a piece going to overtime and it only took four minutes until Justin Williams fired home to give Kings a comeback and more importantly, a 1-0 series lead making it three more wins until they have got the cup. Rangers though will be looking for revenge in game two on Saturday at LA again. Kings will look to double the lead! Watch via NHL gamecenter at midnight on Saturday night! Enjoy! :D

Alec Martinez puts Kings to the final! Face Rangers Wednesday for game 1
BREAKING- In 2013, game seven between Chicago Blackhawks and Los Angeles Kings saw Patrick Kane seal the Western Conference championship in style with a 4-3 overtime victory. They went on for a shock Stanley Cup win against Boston Bruins in 6 games! The two met again this year and once again went to overtime in game 7, played in the same building. At the time of last years playoffs, Kings hearts were broken by the overtime goal and thoughts were they'd never get that victory back. Last night however, the golden opportunity came to return the favour, and it came even bigger than they may of planned!
Within 10 minutes, Blackhawks made it look like a repeat of 2013 taking a 2-0 lead. The past was coming back to haunt LA for the players that were there last year though, the newbies knew what it must of felt like, and didn't want that same experience of the childhood dream being crushed. Kings quickly made it 2-2 before Hawks regained the lead and were in full control of this game with LA plan of revenge not looking easy. Put it this way: it was going to be a long night!
Despite it being all square again, late on in the second period, Chicago had a one goal lead going to the final stanza. A late game tying goal would sent this game to overtime, but with 5 seconds left, Kings plan of revenge, could of been turned into an ever bigger upset than last time around. As Hawks had a stunning attack, the place going wild, they had a massive game changing shot, which could of made history, but Los Angeles goaltender Jonathan Quick pulled off a stunning save.
An incredible six minutes of overtime saw Kings get into the final with Rangers. Alec Martinez tipped in to win the Western Conference championship and send Los Angeles into wild celebrations. Next stop, the Stanley cup final!
