The battle for second in full swing following action packed weekend/ Wednesday preview

Old friends...Former teammates Robert Farmer and Jason Hewitt throw punches in Panthers vs Steelers game on Sunday.

With Belfast Giants already elite league champions, it was a weekend where teams were fighting for the highest they could now get: second! It wasn't easy for any team but it was a fantastic hockey weekend! 

Panthers defense shuts the door big time getting 4 points and conceding only ONE goal!

It was one of Nottingham Panthers best weekends of the season as they celebrated two victories at home against Dundee on Saturday (2-0) and Sunday in Sheffield (3-1). Craig Kowalski recorded his first shut-out of the season and was only beaten once all weekend as Panthers are now climbing up the table! 

On Saturday, a game that stayed scoreless for ages, until the closing five minutes, saw both goalies in the run for a shutout!
